New medium voltage and medium voltage sensors

In November 2012, the starting shot for medium voltage was fired at MBS AG, before the first medium-voltage current converter from MBS AG went online the following year. In the meantime, a lot has happened at MBS AG. In addition to the conventional medium-voltage current and voltage converters, which can be used for billing purposes as well as in a frequency-optimized version for measuring harmonics, so-called internal demand converters and medium-voltage sensors now also complete the product range.

After MBS AG initially only acted as a dealer, the cooperation with KPB Intra was intensified, which is why MBS AG is now a manufacturer. In addition to the production of our medium-voltage converters, one-piece and divisible cast resin current transformers are also manufactured.

These are used, for example, for earth fault detection in medium voltage. In addition to network operators and municipal suppliers, our customers also include industrial companies in the field of medium-voltage switchgear construction. The satisfaction of our customers not only led to a notable increase in sales, but also to the fact that a fully automatic pallet warehouse with a total of 600 storage spaces was built and put into operation at the Sulzbach-Laufen site.
