In addition to an extensive range of current transformers for industrial applications in accuracy classes 0.5 and 1, MBS AG manufactures a wide range of calculation current transformers for current ranges from 25 A to 3,000 A in accuracy classes 0.2s, 0.2, 0.5s and 0.5. Since 1 January 2015, calculation transformers have been placed on the market in Germany in accordance with the conformity assessment procedure.
Converters approved by the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) Braunschweig (module B) can be recognised by a generic and type number arranged in a stylised ‘S’. The usual MBS type designation is also preceded by an ‘E’. The conformity of the converters is documented by a yellow conformity mark and a declaration of conformity enclosed with the goods.
Our quality assurance system is recognised by the PTB in accordance with module D of the conformity assessment procedure, meaning that the billing converters can be used directly ex works for billing purposes. These type-approved current transformers have approvals for billing purposes in other European countries.
As an option, primary conductor rails (electrolytic copper, nickel-plated) can be supplied according to the rail window, including DIN 933 screws, complete with nuts, washers and spring washers for mounting in busbars or similar.
