Low-voltage current transformers are not covered by the Machinery Directive (MD). The reason for this is that, according to Article 2, paragraph 2, letter p of the directive, products falling within the scope of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU are expressly excluded from the scope of the MD.
Our current transformers are independent electrical equipment in the low-voltage range and are therefore fully subject to the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The Machinery Directive is therefore not applicable.

Yes!

No!
-
No, not in conjunction with the ROI, because the ROI is designed for a specific ampere value, but nowadays the models are so cheap (FASK + ROI) that a fixed installation is more worthwhile than taking mobile measurements anyway.
-
Yes, the secondary cables on the coil are shielded (i.e. no interference from magnetic fields). In our case, the shield is on the negative cable (white).
-
Yes, the best known in Germany is probably the PQI-DA smart. This also has measuring inputs of 1 and 5 A. It is also suitable for stationary installation.
-
Yes, the CTW cast resin transformer is available here, i.e. a wound cast resin transformer. Enquiry via the medium-voltage department.
-
With the VTLS-L and VTLD-L, always connect with a cable lug or wire end ferrules (no contact protection!)
-
Yes, but MBS does not offer this.
-
Yes, single-phase meter = alternating current meter (2-wire = 1 phase + neutral conductor) and
Three-phase meter = three-phase meter -
Folding converters are generally not available with 400 Hz.
-
Yes, these must be ordered separately. Ask for additional costs, delivery time = 3 weeks Attention! Does not have MID approval!
-
There is currently no specification for inductive current transformers with current outputs of 1 and 5 A. However, there are specifications in the IEC 61869-6 standard. However, these only apply to low-power instrument transformers. With the limit values defined for the XCTB, we are currently significantly better than the limit values in the standard for low-power devices.
-
Yes, these can be provided on request. You can also find them at https://mbs-ag.com/downloads/. These files can also be used in eplan.
-
Yes, that is possible.
-
In principle, Rogowski coils can also cover a relatively high frequency range. However, even here there are always parasitic effects in the technical realisation, which can have a negative impact on the measurement result. The XCTB series can deliver 1 and 5 A. The Rogowski coils usually only provide a small voltage signal

No. If you open up the KBR converter, you can see the bare core. It would lead to voltage arcs. Only insulated conductors are permitted. You should pull an insulating shrink sleeve over the rails, then it is possible.
-
There is no time limit on the validity of calibration for permanently installed transformers.
-
The test data for supplied billing current transformers must be archived for 10 years. This is required by law. It is therefore possible to reorder at any time. The test results of industrial current transformers are not automatically saved and must therefore be requested directly when ordering.

Yes, time = 2 weeks
